Key West Chicken and Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  •  olive oil
  • garlic powder
  •  onion powder
  • smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  •  fresh lime juice
  • dried oregano

For the Shrimp

  •  large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  •  olive oil
  • garlic powder
  •  paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  •  fresh lime juice

For the Dijon Mustard Glaze

  •  Dijon mustard
  • honey
  •  lime juice
  •  olive oil

For the Side

  • Rice (as a base)
  • Grilled vegetables (such as bell peppers, zucchini, and onions)

Preparation

Prepare the Chicken

Mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, lime juice, and oregano in a small bowl. Then, please take a deep and large bowl, coat the chicken breast pieces with the marinade, and leave it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

Grill the Chicken

Heat the grill pan and grill the chicken for 7 to 8 minutes per side. When it is properly grilled, remove the chicken from the grill and leave it to rest.

Prepare the Shrimp

In a small bowl, add olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and lime juice. Then add the shrimp and mix it well with these ingredients. After that, cook the shrimp in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side.

Make the Dijon Mustard Glaze

  • Mix Dijon mustard, honey, lime juice, and olive oil in a small bowl. Stir until combined. Drizzle this over the chicken and shrimp.

Assemble the Dish

Serve the grilled chicken and shrimp on a plate. Drizzle the dijon mustard glaze on top of the chicken, and serve with side rice or vegetables.
